3 movies that will change your life.
1. Labyrinth: David Bowie. owls. goblins. fairies. talking worms. moss with eyes. swamps. babies. masquerades. crystal balls. red lipstick. strange and mysterious creatures. I first saw this movie at a babysitter’s when I was little and the babysitter was smoking pot. She sat there with us watching this movie, smoking away. The lamps were covered in scarves, the fans were all on, and we were covered in blankets. My brother was crying but I told him if he watched this movie, he wouldn’t be sad anymore. And he wasn’t…not for a long, long time. watch the best scene.

My mom found this movie god only knows where and brought it home to me. She played it for me while I lay in her waterbed, wrapped in sheets that smelled like perfume and incense. I was 5, maybe 6.
